STEM Teacher Fellowship

American Fidelity LogoThe American Fidelity Teacher Fellowship provides teachers an opportunity to work on a real-life technology team doing software development, enterprise information management or technical infrastructure projects. They can then take this experience back to their classrooms to help their students learn about and prepare for these careers.

The AF Teacher Fellows will earn a corporate IT salary for the time they work during the summer of 2019. Schedules will be flexible to accommodate differing school summer schedules, required professional development days, etc. AF Teacher Fellows will also receive a $2,000 stipend to use for their classroom upon completion of the program.

Applications are open to third through twelfth grade STEM teachers.

Applications will be accepted Feb. 1-28, 2019. Qualified applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview March 23 at the American Fidelity corporate headquarters located at 9000 Cameron Parkway, Oklahoma City, 73114.

Before joining the ETS team, I was able to take part in this fellowship and it was the experience of a lifetime. Over the summer I was exposed to more knowledge in software development than I feel a collegiate-level course would provide in a year. AF treats their employees like royalty, in no way is this your typical "summer job".
