Hour of Code Cohort Wrap Up

The last three weeks, teachers have had the opportunity to participate in the Hour of Code cohort. During this cohort, we learned about unplugged coding activities, differentiating your coding instruction, as well as how to host an Hour of Code event using Code.org. Code.org is a non-profit which promotes computer science education by providing online coding lessons and curriculum to teach coding.

A few of our favorites resources, from this cohort,  are listed below.
  1. Code.org
  2. Scratch
  3. Tynker
  4. Codeacademy
  5. Code Avengers
  6. Unplugged Coding
  7. Differentiation Your Coding Instruction
  8. Code.org

This year's Hour of Code will be held December 5-11, 2016. Click HERE for more information or to sign up to host an event. Then, check out the video below to gain a better understanding of what is involved with hosting an event.
